About Waxéla (wa-shay-la)

My intention for SpiritMama is to create a community resource for people who are interested in increasing consciousness, becoming more alive, and more free. Each aspect of SpiritMama is being intentionally created to help you grow in awareness. Whether your focus is on athletic performance, spiritual growth, enhancing your level of compassion, freedom, love, or anything else, SpiritMama wants to help you focus your latent energy by speaking directly to the molecular structure of your cells, reminding them of their potential to create whatever you choose for them to create. The symbols on SpiritMama products are designed to help you focus your intentions. The universe is at your fingertips, waiting for you to manifest your dreams!

~Waxéla Sananda

Waxéla (wa-shay-la) Sananda is the founder of SpiritMama. Waxéla has been working toward evolving herself spiritually and consciously for 14 years. She attended the College of Design at Iowa State University, after graduation she moved to Dallas, TX, where she started a shop and attended the Dallas School of Metaphysics. In 1996 Waxéla went on a journey across the Southwestern United States, visiting places such as Taos, New Mexico, Sedona, Arizona, Canyon de Chelly, Choco Canyon. She visited amazing medicine men and women along the way while being trained in a form of universal light shamanism. Her journey continued in Kauai, Hawaii, where she lived for three years. It was in Kauai that her daughter, Josiah was born, very peacefully at home in a pool of water.

Waxéla and Josiah now live in Austin, Texas. Waxéla is a certified aroma therapist, a Reiki practitioner, and is studying holistic nutrition through Clayton College of Natural Health. Waxéla is a conscious channel of light energy, and she strives to assist others in finding their way on their own unique spiritual journey.

About Sensei Strange

The calligraphy artwork on the SpiritMama products was created by "Sensei Strange" of Austin, Texas. Sensei was blessed with the opportunity to train for years in Japan with masters in calligraphy, martial arts and mysticism. Sensei Strange seeks to discover the hidden, manipulate reality, master the body, dance with dragons, serve the spirit, create laughter and joy, travel the realms, and lead by example. Through his many talents, he strives to entertain and amaze by lifting the curtain between realms.

Sensei Strange may be described as...
A martial arts expert, calligraphy artist, magician, sage, friend, leader, juggler, writer, laugher, warrior, monk, poet, builder, teacher, servant of the force, traveler, Jedi, and oh so strange...

Sensei's career currently includes teaching, designing calligraphy, performing magic and practicing Aikido in his Austin dojo.
